We have already noted that the comernirition dependence of rate is callest diffrential rate ryuation. It is riot always comvetient to de cermine the iry tantaneous rate, as it is meisured by determination of shope of the tangent at point ' in concentration vs time plot [Fles, 4.1). This makes it difficult to determine the rate law and henee the orver of the reaction. In order to avout this difficulty, we can integrate the differential rate equation to give a relation between direstly measured experimental data. 1.e. concentrations at different times and rate constant. The inteigated rate equations are different for the reinctins of di sent reavtion orders. We shall determine these equations only for zer and first order chemical reactions. Zero Ordes 7 Tro arder reaction means that the rate of the reaction is propo ional Reactions Io nero power of the concentration of reactants. Consider the remion. As any quantity ralsed to power tero is unity \[ \begin{array}{l} \text { Rate }=-\frac{d[R]}{d t}=k \times 1 \\ d[R]=-k d t \end{array} \] Integrating both sides [Ri where, is the constant of integration. At . the concentration of the reactant , where is initial concentration of the reactant. Substituting in equation \[ \begin{array}{l} |\mathrm{R}|_{0}=\frac{7}{k} \times 0+1 \\ {[\mathrm{~K}]_{9}=\mathrm{I}} \end{array} \] Sulastifuting the value of in the equation .
