A flower typically consists of petals, sepals, stamen, and pistil (carpel).
Stamen is the male reproductive part of a flower and the pistil is the female reproductive part of a flower.
Some flowers may carry both stamen and pistil in the same flower and are called bisexual flowers (as both the sexes are present in the same flower) and some flowers may have separate male and female flowers and are called unisexual flowers.
The male flower has only the stamen and no pistil while the female flower has only the pistil and no stamen
