Cartilaginous Joints - They are slightly moveable joints. Discs of white fibrocartilage is strong but more elastic and compressible than the white fibrous tissue. These joints holds the bones together at joints between the bodies of vertebrae, at pubis and between the sternum and ribs. The bones make some movements at such joints, through compression of the discs of cartilage.
