What is menstruation? Explain.

Solution:
  • Monthly bleeding in women seen after the onset of puberty is called menstruation.
  • Girls usually start having menstrual periods between the ages of 11 and 14. It is the flow of blood and tissue from the lining of the uterus, This happens when the released ovum is not fertilized.
  • This unfertilized ovum is then sloughed off along with the uterine lining and the women bleeds.
