x

Speed,

v = \frac{d}{t}

Time taken by Shyam to travel

x, t_{1} = 10 min

Time taken by Ram to travel

x, t_{2} = 20 + 10 = 30 min

\frac{v _{1}}{v _{2}} = \frac{x / t _{1}}{x / t _{2}} = \frac{t _{2}}{t _{1}} == \frac{30}{10} = \frac{3}{1}
