Answer: We see only the stone falling towards the earth but not the earth rising towards the stone because mass of the stone is negligible as compared to the earth’s mass. Hence, acceleration in the earth is negligible as compared to acceleration in stone. So, the stone falls towards the earth, but not vice-versa.
