c m^{- 3} .

For equilibrium condition net downward force is zero

0 = ρ_{p} V g - ρ_{w} (0.5 V) g

ρ_{p} = 0.5 ρ_{w} \Rightarrow 500 k g m^{3}

Net force downward force = Weight – buoyancy force
Net force downward force = total weight – weight of liquid displaced
For equilibrium condition net downward force is zero

0 = ρ_{p} V g - ρ_{L} V_{1} g

0 = 500 \times V g - 500 \times V_{1} g

V_{1} = V

100% of its volume is immersed in a liquid of density 0.5

g / c m^{3}
