So, his score in the second test =

x + 10

5 times the score of the second test is the same as square of the score in the first test.

5 (x + 10) = x^{2}

\Rightarrow 5 x + 50 = x^{2}

\Rightarrow x^{2} - 5 x - 50 = 0

\Rightarrow x^{2} - 10 x + 5 x - 50 = 0

\Rightarrow x (x - 10) + 5 (x - 10) = 0

\Rightarrow (x + 5) (x - 10) = 0

\Rightarrow x = 10, - 5

The score is not negative so, Suyash scored 10 marks in first test.
