Let the usual speed of the plane be

Usual time taken by train

= \frac{1500}{x}

After increase in speed time taken

= \frac{1500}{x + 100}

Then according to question,

∴ \frac{1500}{x} - \frac{1500}{x + 100} = \frac{30}{60} \Rightarrow x^{2} + 100 x - 300000 = 0 \Rightarrow x^{2} + 600 x - 500 x - 300000 = 0 \Rightarrow (x + 600) (x - 500) = 0 x \neq = - 600, ∴ x = 500

Speed of plane

= 500 km / hr
