A polyatomic linear molecule having N molecules has :
(i) translation degrees of freedom .
(ii) rotational  degrees of freedom .
(i) vibrational degrees of freedom .
Hence total degrees of freedom ,
     
But for a triatomic linear molecule , if there is no vibrational motion then
    , the degrees of freedom for a triatomic molecule can be 5 .
Given statement is false=0.
