Firstly at the boltom of pits layer of fodder or bedding should be placed after that 75-100 im layer of dung and urine should be placed. Third layer of again bedding of thick should be placed. In the same sequence the pits should be filled upto height from the ground surface. After that the pit should be made smooth and covered by layer of soil. The manure is prepared in pit by decomposition within 5-6 months.
  1. 3. Trench Method : A trench of 60 meter length, meter broad and meter deep is prepared. In this method the length and breadth of trench can be increased but do not increases the depth.

In this method bedding and refuses etc. are filled upto the half part of pit when half part of the pit attains a maximum height of half meter from the ground by the daily collection of cattles then the top of the pit is made rounded or gives dome shape and plastered with dung and mud mixture. After that the next half part of pit filled and plastered in the same way.
  3. The merit of this method is that within three months in which the manure of first pit decomposes and ready to use the second pit filles and in this way same pit is used throught out the year for preparing manure for fields. The manure prepared by this method have high quantity of nitrogen.
