NEET 2021 exam was conducted on September 12 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA had released the provisional answer key on October 15, 2021. More than 16 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam, cracking which ensures a seat in the top medical institutes in the country.

Why was NEET UG Counselling Schedule Postponed?

According to the MCC, the counselling process was delayed due to the case related to the validity of the EWS quota in the admissions. The Central government had introduced 27% reservations for OBC and 10% for EWS candidates.

The Supreme Court recently upheld the Centre’s decision to introduce 27% reservations for OBC and 10% for EWS candidates for both NEET UG and PG courses admissions.
