NEET Counselling 2021: Important Dates
As of now, the MCC hasn’t revealed the dates of NEET counselling 2021 for 15% of AIQ seats. However, several media reports suggest that the counselling could soon begin from January 6, 2022.
Meanwhile, the NEET counselling 2021 process for state-quota seats has been started by authorities in a few states. The rank lists for state quota will be released by the respective authorities of the states.
NEET Counselling 2021: Eligibility

University-Wise Quota for NEET Counselling 2021
1. Delhi University: 15% of seats are reserved under the All India Quota while 85% of institutional seats are reserved for candidates clearing the 10+2 exam in Delhi. The admissions are for institutes such as LHMC, UCMS, MAMC.
2. BHU: 100% of the seats are available for applying under the All India Quota.
3. Aligarh Muslim University: AMU reserves 50% of seats for studying with the Institute for the past three years. Other candidates can apply for 50% seats under the All India Quota.
4. VMMC & SJH: 85% of the institute’s seats are reserved for students passing 10+2 from Delhi while other candidates can apply for the remaining 15% seats.
NEET Counselling 2021 Process
Step 1: Registration
Candidates first need to register for NEET counselling 2021 to become eligible for seats at top medical institutes in the country. Aspirants qualifying NEET 2021 can register online by visiting the websites of MCC and other state authorities handling medical admissions. Students need to share personal and academic details while completing their registration. It is important to note that candidates are allowed to register for NEET counselling 2021 till the mop-up round.
Step 2: Choice Filling
Candidates are required to lock their choices for MCC NEET counselling 2021 to make sure that they get admission into the institute and the course of their dreams. Usually, candidates give preference to the college where they feel that they have the best chance at getting admission.

Step 4: Seat Allotment
MCC begins the seat allotment process once the candidate completes the registration and pays the required fees. The seats will be allotted based on the marks scored in the NEET 2021 exam and on the category to which the applicant belongs. The selection of institutes also comes into play during the seat allotment process.
Candidates accepting the seat in the first round of NEET counselling 2021 will not be able to participate in the next rounds. Moreover, they won’t be able to resign from the counselling process. On the other hand, candidates not locking their seats in the first round will be allowed to participate in the following rounds by paying the security deposit.
