NOTE:

Study Tips to Prepare for maths exam!!

1. NCERT should be thoroughly studied.

You must be highly familiar with the NCERT textbook if you wish to do well in the CBSE class 10 maths test. The knowledge from this book appears in almost every question on the CBSE maths test. To master the topic, solve each and every issue in it.

To ace the CBSE class 10 maths test, you need to study different math books in addition to your NCERT maths book. RD Sharma and RS Aggarwal’s mathematics books for class 10 are good choices. With either of them, you can’t go wrong. Question banks are another important component of CBSE toppers’ preparation.

2. Try to Be Aware of your complete syllabus and try to complete it!

It’s necessary to properly review your syllabus’s course structure and unit-by-unit grading. This will assist you in better planning and prioritising. Due to months of school closures, the CBSE has cut the syllabus by 30% this year.

Before you develop a three-month preparation schedule, go over the new curriculum thoroughly. Once you’ve established the unit-by-unit weight, you can determine how much time you should commit to each one.

3. Do not skip any of the procedures.

Solve your arithmetic problems step by step as the steps are also graded on the board test. As a result, even if your response is incorrect due to a math error, you will be able to get some points. Previous year’s answered question papers will assist in the formation of the skill of drafting answers in steps.

4. Sample Question should be done:

This is quite important. The CBSE has posted 2021 sample question papers for Maths as well as with the marking scheme, on its official website. Make sure you solve them to get a better idea of the question paper’s format and grading.

This practice will assist you in determining the best test response approach, the amount of time you can commit to each question, and so on. Additionally, solve prior year’s exam papers on a regular basis. This can help you gain a better understanding of your strengths and shortcomings, allowing you to focus on the areas where you need to improve. Regular practice will also help you improve your time management abilities.

5. Come up with your own solutions.

It is beneficial to work through a variety of challenges, but you must also ensure that you solve them for yourself. It is simple to acquire ideas and concepts, but it is more difficult to learn how to apply them. So, if you want to get a perfect score in Maths, you must solve each question at least three to four times on your own.

6. Make graphs/formula sheets while doing problems:

If you draw graphs and figures in detail, they can help you get better grades. You’ll need a ruler and a sharpened pencil for this. These are some of the most basic items that you should remember to bring with you because they are crucial in obtaining good grades.

Make sure you are not scared of the topic in order to give your best performance in the Board Exams. Make it an entertaining experience instead. The only thing you should keep in mind is that in math, there are no shortcuts.

7. Revise Carefully:

Revision is necessary since understanding a chapter only once is insufficient. You must revise in order to be able to recollect it later, particularly during tests. To be able to recollect what you learned, make sure you go through the full syllabus at least three times.

Plan your study in such a way that you must complete at least three revisions. These revisions will cover all of the theory as well as the questions from the NCERT and NCERT Exampler question banks that you found tough.

Finally,

To get high scores on your exam, you must continue to work hard and study effectively… For ideas and theories, go over your NCERT textbooks completely. Work through the questions from the NCERT Exemplar. Make short notes and go over them again and again, especially if you’re studying a subject like maths.
