BITS Pilani conducts BITSAT every year, and candidates who pass the test are admitted to B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc. programs. BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) is an online (computer-based) entrance test for enrollment to BITS Pilani’s comprehensive first-degree courses provided at its three campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.
BITSAT 2022 Marking Scheme
BITS pilani will use a scoring system to pick the most qualified individuals. The marks will be assigned in accordance with the marking method outlined in the BITSAT 2022 test pattern. The marking scheme is shown below.
- +3 points for each correct answer
- Each incorrect answer receives a -1 mark.

BITSAT Exam Pattern 2022
- Exam Mode: The examination will be administered exclusively online (CBT) beginning in the last week of June 2022.
- Exam Time: The test will last around 3 hours.
- Exam Times: The test will be given in two sessions, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Question Type: The topics will be of the Multiple Choice variety (MCQ).
- Sections: There will be four main phases to the questionnaire.

BITSAT Exam Pattern 2022 Important Facts
- There really is no time constraint for any component of the examination. Applicants may amend their answers at any moment.
- Students who have completed all 150 questions may try 12 more questions in the time remaining.
- These additional questions will solely cover Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
- Each applicant will receive a unique set of papers.
- Applicants should have a pen for rough work, signature, and so forth.
- The invigilator will supply blank papers for rough work (if required).
- Calculators and logarithmic tables are not authorized to be brought inside the testing facility.
BITSAT Exam 2022 Highlights
- Individual components of BITSAT 2022 are not time-limited. The applicant has the option of going back and changing any of his or her responses to any of the 150 questions.
- If a candidate answers all 150 questions correctly (without skipping any), he or she will be given the opportunity of trying 12 (twelve) more questions if time allows. These additional questions will be drawn from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, with four questions from each section.
- The BITSAT questions will be structured in such a way that a good student will be able to answer 150 questions in 180 minutes. The additional questions (a maximum of 12) will allow highly qualified candidates to rank better.
