The given image shows the process of gel electrophoresis of DNA in which the fragments get separated on the basis of their size. DNA fragments are negatively charged so, all move towards anode. Smaller particles move faster and farther away from the start, along the gel, in response to the electrical field (current) supplied to the gel.
So, it can be inferred that being smaller in size, D fragments move farther away in comparison to those in band C
