(b) With increasing humidity, the rate of transpiration decreases linearly, because the high saturation of water vapour in the atmosphere prevents the evaporation of more water from the leaf interior to the exterior.

Differentiate between the three kinds of age-related changes. Remember that age-related changes are a part of our everyday lives - so much so that we often give them little thought. Generally, developmental scientists think of each age-related change as representing one of three categories: normative age-related changes, normative history-graded changes, and non-normative changes. This assignment has two parts. Part 1: Select two (2) life periods that you have experienced in your life up to now. State the two life periods you've chosen and for each of the life periods give an example of each of these types of changes: Normative age-related changes and non-normative changes. For example: Adolescence: Normative age-related change is puberty. Non-normative change is starting to "date". Late adulthood: Normative age-related change is a change in eyesight requiring bifocal lenses in my glasses. Non-normative change is the age I retire from working my job. Now it's your turn. Part 2: Review normative history-graded change. The year 2020 saw us starting to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic. The effects of this pandemic are still happening and will be long remembered. It is a normative history-graded change. With that in mind, choose two (2) of the following cohorts. In an essay, discuss the effect this pandemic will have on each of the cohorts you chose: school-age children (K-12), adults with school-age children at home, the elderly living in their homes, and the elderly living in assisted living or nursing homes. Your essay should include: an introduction, body of supporting evidence/details, and a conclusion.
