Micronutrients are the essential nutrients which are required in traces i.e. equal to or less than 0.1 mg/g of dry matter by the plants. There are six micronutrients.
Micronutrients are mainly involved in the functioning of enzymes as cofactors or metal activator. They become toxic if there is the increase in their concentration.
Examples of micronutrients are Zinc(Zn) , Copper(Cu).
