Micronutrients are needed in amounts

Micronutrients are those essential elements which are required by plants in small amounts, less than 10 m mole/kg of dry matter. They are mostly involved in the functioning of enzymes. Since, micronutrients are required in traces, they are also called trace elements. Micronutrients are eight in number - iron, manganese, copper, molybdenum, zinc, boron, chlorine and nickel.
