Glycosidic Bond is the nitrogen-carbon linkage between the 9' nitrogen of purine bases or 1' nitrogen of pyrimidine bases and the 1' carbon of the sugar group. There are are two types of glycosidic bonds - 1,4 alpha and 1,4 beta glycosidic bonds. Since each base pair is able to make two n-glycosidic linkages, the total number of glycosidic linkage will be
2 x 2000=4000
