DPD (Diffusion pressure deficit) is the value by which diffusion pressure of solution is lower than that of pure solvent. Osmotic pressure (OP) of solution is always higher than the pure solvent. Turgor pressure (TP) is the pressure of water that pushes the plasma membrane against the cell wall of a plant cell. TP of plasmolysed cell is always zero.
DPD = OP-TP
Cell A DPD= bars
Cell B DPD bar
Cell C DPD bars
Cell D DPD bars
Water moves from low DPD to high DPD. Cell B has the lowest DPD so water moves from to and .

Texts: Your task is to select the respiratory & cardiovascular structures that a molecule of oxygen will pass through--in correct order/sequence--from the moment it is inhaled through the nostrils and then diffuses into the blood and is then transported by the cardiovascular system to the left lobe of the cerebrum. This portion of the question covers the movement of the oxygen molecule from the blood vessels of the lung (i.e., pulmonary circuit) through the heart and to the left side of the brain (specifically cerebrum). Now that the oxygen is in the cardiovascular system, it next goes to [ Select ] ["pulmonary veins", "pulmonary arteries", "aorta", "left atrium", "mitral valve", "systemic arteries", "vena cava", "right atrium", "tricuspid valve"], to the [ Select ] ["mitral valve", "right atrium", "pulmonary valve", "left ventricle", "left atrium", "right ventricle", "aortic valve", "tricuspid valve"], and through the [ Select ] ["pulmonary trunk", "mitral valve (left AV valve)", "vena cava", "tricuspid valve", "pulmonary valve", "left atrium", "aorta", "aortic valve", "right atrium", "brachiocephalic artery", "left ventricle"] to the [ Select ] ["subclavian artery", "mitral valve", "left atrium", "aorta", "pulmonary trunk", "brachiocephalic trunk", "right ventricle", "internal jugular vein", "left ventricle", "aortic valve", "common carotid artery", "vena cava", "pulmonary valve"] and through the [ Select ] ["aorta", "internal carotid artery", "vena cava", "brachiocephalic trunk", "common jugular vein", "common carotid artery", "pulmonary valve", "aortic valve", "pulmonary trunk", "tricuspid valve", "internal jugular vein", "brachiocephalic vein", "subclavian artery"] into the [ Select ] ["common carotid artery", "external carotid artery", "common jugular vein", "internal carotid artery", "brachiocephalic vein", "brachiocephalic trunk", "pulmonary trunk", "subclavian artery", "vena cava", "aorta"], and then the [ Select ] ["common carotid artery", "brachiocephalic trunk", "subclavian artery", "external carotid artery", "external jugular vein", "internal jugular vein", "internal carotid artery"], and finally the [ Select ] ["internal carotid artery", "internal jugular vein", "carotid sinus", "external carotid artery", "common carotid artery", "cephalic vein", "external jugular vein"] which delivers the oxygen to the left side of the cerebrum.
