; 50 meiotic division are required.
However, when one diploid megaspore mother cell divides by meiosis, and forms 4 linearly arranged haploid megaspore, out of which 3 degenerate and only 1 megaspore develops into egg.
Therefore, 1 egg is formed by 1 meiosis in the megaspore mother cell.
So, in order to form 200 egg cells, 200 meiotic divisions are required.
